33cl brown glass bottle from BEERA in Sofia. Trippy hippie label art. Unbranded black pry-off crown cap.
Kanaal's first collaboration beer. Brewed at Ground Zero in Romania. Best before: 15.11.16. 4.60% ABV. 45 IBU. Brewed with Columbus hops.
Aroma is floral but a little soapy, suggesting it may have spent too long in primary.
Taste is a bit too bitter; the hops win the fight against the pale malt sweetness. A bit more balance would be nice, but it's pleasantly floral.
Mouthfeel is soft, smooth, wet, and medium-bodied. Well-carbonated.
Unremarkable fare for Kanaal's first house brew. I wouldn't recommend it to others, unless you're desperate for happy fare when in the Balkans and beers from Ah! Brew Works and/or White Stork aren't to your taste.
