P: honey golden with a thin head
T: little bit of citrus with a malt backbone and finishing just a touch hoppy
MF: very thin and easy drinking.
O: NOT a NE IPA. Not a hazy beer at all so I rated it lower. A solid IPA for sure but it doesn’t look nor taste like a NE IPA. This can was so heavily pressing that style and definitely didn’t live up to expectation.

The story behind my acquisition of this beer is interesting. My girlfriend, her two sisters and mother traveled to an area located close to Critz Farms for some sort of wolf watching experience. Being four women, they just used phone based GPS to navigate there, without ever pondering any sort of map. Naturally, they all lost cellular reception and ended up driving by this brewery on accident. Being a sweetheart, she procured me an IPA in a growler.
LOOK- Poured into a clean pint glass rather aggressively, which left a large yet sparse head. To my surprise, the beer poured crystal clear golden yellow. ( I was expecting an unfiltered beer, hence haze, etc.)
SMELL- Overwhelming citrus, apricots, pungent grapefruit abound, slightly musty.
TASTE- Pleasantly hoppy, and fruity, but nestled in between all those hops is a little malty backbone giving this beer the balance I would expect from a New England IPA.
FEEL- Very light, slightly acidic, yet still leaves you with a creamy, yet sticky mouthfeel.
OVERALL- Apparently, Critz has intentions to begin canning this. I will glady add it to my repertoire.
