Part of their rotating 'Spezial' series. I put this in the 'Baltic Porter' style, due to the low ABV and since it is labeled as an Ostsee, or Baltic Sea, Stout.
Pours a deep reddish-brown with a dense, light brown head that retains nicely leaving moderate lacing. Lightly roasted coffee aroma and a bit campfire-like smokiness. As with the prior beer I had from them, this one also, perhaps more so, has a Band-Aid aroma to it. However, it seems to get masked more in the flavor by the roasted malts, though it is again noticeably unpleasant. Dry ending.
