The liquid is cognac-coloured, chestnut and clear. The foam is ecru in colour, low and generally not persistent either.
In the aroma, sweet maltiness, some dried fruit, earthy notes, whisky, very slightly bread-like.
The sweet taste with earthy bitterness remain in balance. Here there will be peaty notes so characteristic of ... "scotch".
Saturation medium upwards. Body a little too low. Texture smooth. Aftertaste short malty.

Nice try, in the right direction, a bit flat in several ways, but to drink a home-made Scottish Ale made in Italy is a joy.
a) Flattish amber.
s) Malt, scat, cedar.
t) Follows smell, but better, with a healthy sharp malt/hop battle where in the bready, cedary notes win.
f) Thin but satisfying, fine food beer at Joys Place Malchesine.
o) After a 4000' cycling climb - before dinner - it's delicious!
