Poured into shaker from tap. Bartender is dumping all the massive cream colored head on this beer to give me more value for my money. Nice retention and lacing. Smells of biscuit and Belgian fruity Pale yellow to look at. Taste like a pale ale with Belgian yeast. Nice fruity taste, with minimal hop profile. Nice beer

Not quite a full-on Belgian pale ale, but certainly has some of the characteristics I'd expect for the style. Does taste quite a bit like devil's backbone, only less yeasty and a little milder. Hops aren't too specific but there's a good bittering at least. One of their more oddball beers if you ask me, but needless to say none of the sixer will go to waste.

12 oz bottle pours a clear gold color with a decent cap of fine-bubbled white head. Retention and lace are average, maybe a little below for a BPA.
Nose smells similar to Devils Backbone, Im guessing it is the same yeast - nutty, bubblegum and a little earthy. Malt is caramely with a touch of biscuit. I was expecting more hop aroma for Real Ale's jab at this style.
Taste throws out a bit more hop presence, more on the bittering side than flavor. The malt and yeast combo give it an earthy, biscuity feel but the yeast dosnt throw out enough fruity esters to compare to some of the nicer Belgian counterparts. It tastes like a Devils Backbone Light, which doesnt exactly take your mind to a trip to Brussels. Its ok, but not one of the better Brewers' Cut offerings.
