Smooth, not heavy, the lemon only comes through minimally for me, which I love. Nice kick. I return to this regularly as we are uncommonly blessed in Austin, Texas with many fine beers from Real Ale and others.

I dig this one. Deep amber color, full off white head, and lots of lacing. Citrus nose and the taste follows with a good malt backbone. Mouth feel is on the sticky side but it works. I'm happy to see a solid DIPA from Texas.

Legit Double IPA from Real Ale. Best By May 13, 2016?? At $6 a bomber its hard to beat. Poured an opaque deep golden to amber with a substantial white head. The aroma was full of orange citrus and sweet malt. The taste followed the nose with heavy citrus hops that road atop a heavy malt backbone. There was a sharp almost piney bitterness on the tail end that left a lingering impression on my palate between sips. While not a tropical citrus hop monster that is all the rage it was a solid and hoppy Double IPA that will get frequent revisits in my rotation.

22oz bomber with best by date of Feb 2017.

Pours a clear golden with 1/2 finger of head and plenty of lacing. Smell is of citrus and grapefruit. Taste is full of citrus and lemon grass with some bread notes in the finish. Full-bodied with a clean finish. Overall an outstanding value for a solid DIPA with plenty of new-school citrus notes.

22oz bottle, fresh.

Pours a hazy orange, with a couple fingers of creamy head. Fairly mellow, but in the best possible way. Super smooth and drinkable. Hoppy (citrus/floral/tropical) without much bitterness at all.

If you're looking to destroy your palate, this is not one one. But for a juicy, hoppy, easy to drink IPA, it'd hard to beat.

Poured from a 22oz bottle into a tulip glass. Pours a hazy orange with a two-finger head which dissipates fairly quickly into a thin head. Leaves a medium amount of lace on the glass. Smells nice and hoppy. The taste was pretty nice citrus flavor that makes me think of lemons and grapefruit. It is a very smooth DIPA. I will definitely be buying this one again!

Solid DIPA from Real Ale. $6 22oz bomber. Pours orange/yellow with a slight haze. A good bit of yeast in the bottom. A nice nose, lemon and other citrus. Not as huge as other DIPAs but pleasant. Flavor is simialr to nose, lemon citrus. Nice malt backing, not overly malted, very good balance. Dry finish. This is one of Real Ale's best brews, I see why it made the jump form brewer's cut series to year round status. I'll grab more of this when I want to a local Texas DIPA.
