A: Cloudy yellow (think lemon peel). Two or three fingers of sticky head that persist till the bitter end and leave patchy lacing behind.

S: Like a fruit basket with a yeast infection...but in a good way, honest.

T: Limestone Wit may actually have limestone in it as there is a flavor that I cannot seem to place. I got the coriander, estery goodness, clove, and orange peel, but would almost swear that there is actual limestone involved here that gives it a sour-ish pucker to it. Do not ask how I know what limestone tastes like. Just...just don't.

M: Aside from the "limestone" pucker, this has a yeasty finish.

D: Refreshingly so.

First off, I'm not a big witbier fan, and second, I only had a sampler of this, but from what I could tell in the 2 ounces, this had a slight alcohol aroma to it with a light perfumy, fruitiness, and subtle wheatiness to it. Fairly typical of the style, and slightly less spiced yeast flavors than I expected. All in all, for somebody not crazy about the style this actually seemed pretty decent.

Served on tap at the Flying Saucer Houston. Arrived a very cloudy yellow with an orange slice. Chunked the slice. The smell was very citrusy with a strong presence of yeast.

Taste was very yeasty and fruity. Almost a bit tart at times. There was an astringency that causes me to downgrade the taste a bit. The mouthfeel was very smooth and quaffable. I would get this again but I've already had Wits I prefer over this one. Overall, another great beer from Real Ale.

On-tap from the Houston Flying Saucer. Comes in the pint glass a cloudy lemonade. Head is moderate in size and stays throughout the glass. Leaves some scattered lacing. Smell is pretty faint, but I can definitely pick up some citrus and coriander, but not much else. Taste is rather intense and full of coriander and citrus peel. In addition to that is some grainy wheat and, oddly enough, some pretty big clove, which is odd for a wit. Mouthfeel is lively and moderate in weight. I don't know what it is, but I became less and less interested in this as I sank the pint. Overall really good.

Draught; Flying Saucer, San Antonio

Cloudy pee-yellow (easiest way to describe it), nice foamy head with fine bubbles.

On the nose there is lots of champagne-like yeastiness with some lemon-citrus scents.

Tastes very yeasty, buscuity soft wheat malt with some sour spiciness, but theres something else there that seems a bit weird, kinda styrofoamy.

Soft, mostly pleasant and easy to drink if you like soft yeasty wits.

Poured (for me) a cloudy/hazy honey gold.. you have to squint to see through this one. White head all the way down. Smell was fairly grainy with a bit of lemon. Mild coriander. No garnish. Not unappealing, but the smell does no justice to this beer.

Fat coriander and clove presence plus a ton of wheat smoothing things out. A bit of lemon peel in the background, but really this beer is full on with the coriander. Slight peppery finish. Rich mouth feel, almost coating, but it's not heavy at all. Solid drinkability and very refreshing, but definitely an American Wit.
