Looking back can provide a better perspective on the future. In the good ol’ days, when things were simpler, you would kick off your shoes, crank up the tunes, and crack open a cold one. This was our inspiration for 8Track, a malt-forward Amber Ale designed to showcase the simple beauty of a well-crafted beer – cutting no corners, and using only the purest ingredients. Deep flavors of caramel and toffee fade into a smooth finish. You know you’re drinking a beer. Now put those feet up and crank up some tunes!

Dark copper brown, mostly clear, tan head, lots of retention.
Caramel, sweet malts, and mineral water on the nose.
Extremely well balanced, definitely a little malt forward, but a decent amount of hops offset an otherwise malt bomb. There’s very little to suggest the 6.5abv, so keep that in mind. It’s very drinkable. I used to drink this 8-10 yrs ago, shocked that I hadn’t reviewed it yet. It disappeared for a long time and when I saw it I remembered how much I liked before. Quite possibly, the best American Amber style beer.

Nice look. Great nose malty and toast but very little flavor. Kind of dry. Expected more since they call it malt forward

Underrated, probably because this is definitely a malty Beer.
Poured from a bottle into a shaker pint. Golden yellow color with an nice beige head and good lacing. Sweet malt smell and taste. Nice earthy flavor. Rich feel. All around good beer.

Notes from 4/11/2020.
Poured from a 12oz bottle into a Rastal nucleated Teku glass.
The body is reddish brown with a thin off-white short lived cap. 3.00
The aroma is light in strength with notes of caramel, sweet malt, and a touch of hops. 3.5
The taste is medium in strength and follows the nose with the addition of toasted bread and a slight taste of alcohol. Letting it warm up did a lot for the flavor. 3.75
The feel is a little above medium in thickness with a little creaminess, low carbonation, and a dry finish with low astringency. 4.00
Overall, it's very good but I probably won't buy it again. 3.5
