A dry and effervescent Belgian-style golden ale whose devilish strength is masked by a surprisingly light body. Subtle aromas of clove and pear from our house Belgian yeast, along with a complementary blend of American and New Zealand hops swirl into a liquid as bright as the Texas sun.

Solid gold pour, decent head that backs down quickly to spotted foam patches with some lace. Nose is malt and Belgian yeast.

Taste shows the promised notes of pear, light to medium kilned malt, spice (I get coriander and cinamon), bit of hay, honey, pencil shavings. Medium mouthfeel. Finish is spicy and dry.

On tap at the local pizza joint. Clear bright yellow color with a good white head and good curtain lacing. Sweet fruit and floral smell and taste. Spicy, yeasty with a smooth feel. Enjoyable!

Don't bother with this one. Picked this up at a gas station that was out of any Oktoberfest, denying my craving and leaving me a bit stumped. Clerk was looking suspicious with how much time I was spending staring at the cooler and what the hell, I like Belgians, so I grabbed a sixer of this.

Texas Belgian-Styles continue to disappoint. There's a decent attempt to approximate the bubblegum flavor here, but the hop/malt profile isn't right. The result here: a decent enough brew with a strong pour really accentuating the head(saving grace), but nothing anyone is going out of their way to get twice.

Poured from can into tulip, good 2+ finger cream colored head, good retention and lacing. Pale golden in the glass, you can read a book thru it. Smells of Belgian esters slight bubble gum and a faint whiff of clove. Sweet malt in the front and flows into the juicy fruit middle. Somewhat one dimensional, but it could be my palate tonite. Got a 6 pack so will update if I see a diff. Finish is a little flabby for me, I would like it to be on the dryer side, but it isn't cloying so not that bad. Regardless it is a good drinker and for less than $11 a 6 pack that isn't bad for a Belgian ale.
