Can is best by 3/11/26. Chill hazy gold with 1 finger of tight white foam with excellent retention.
Smell is mix of dank and newer bright fruity tropical hops.
Flavor is good with nice balance. Bitterness may be closer to an APA, though. First sip seemed to have some cardboard staleness, but subsequently that flavor is missing. Great malt backbone and perfect blend of hops.
Dry finish with pleasant bitterness.
This is one heavy of an easy drinker! Should be labeled a pale ale, but would I have bought it if it was “merely” an APA?

been awhile since i had a beer from these guys, this is pretty modern and solid, fruity on the hop side of things, interesting a little bit too, tropical like mango and even passion fruit, light in grain flavor but with some body and textural interest, and moderate on the bitterness, a rather contemporary take. just brassy tinted without perfect clarity or a high shine to it, but pillowy white headed and pretty enough anyway, honey toned. fruity right away in the nose, canned pineapple, peach nectar, mango, a touch of grain sweetness riding with the hops, nothing really from the yeast, some dank character here, sticky smelling, resinous, slight yellow cake character from the malt, fresh to me. the flavor has a sort of marmalade thing to it, still mango, would love to know the hop bill, mosaic maybe doing this pineapple thing, but there is nice layering to my palate, stone fruit, light middle sweetness with the malt, good balance, never presents as particularly bitter, trace toffee there but overall mellow in terms of grain, papaya and some juicy orange at the end, a touch of fresh pine too, not radical but tasty and drinkable, i like the abv not creeping up too high either, i feel like all ipa is in that 7% abv range now, but this is the sweet spot for me in the style still. well made beer with a cool hop profile that stands out a little bit. maybe not quite nationally relevant but i am sure this is working well in their market, tasty stuff.

A: Pours a clear golden yellow color. A dense white head forms with good retention and plenty of lace left behind.
S: Big fruity aromas up front. A mix of melon, citrus, grapefruit. Simple, but enjoyable.
T: Like the nose, that fruit salad mix. That goes from melon, generic tropical fruits, citrus, grapefruit again. The tropical fruity/melon character specifically gives this more of a sweetness that boarders on "juicy." A light bitterness, that could linger on stronger IMO. Still enjoyable.
M/O: A medium body and moderate carbonation. Overall a very nice IPA to drink and come back to.
If you brighten the grapefruit and bitterness intensity, this is a top tier IPA. As is, the more tropical and melon fruits sticks out a bit more than I would want. Still a very nice IPA to drink and come back to. Another quality offering from Real Ale.

Medium gold pour, creamy off white head that is quite steady. Nose is citrus and pine.
Taste brings pine, bright citrus, touch caramel, light kilned malt, little tropical fruit for me, some melon peaking through. Mouthfeel is creamy and tongue coating. Finish sees a resiny warmth that steps back to let the sweet citrus bow again.
Not super flashy, but I enjoyed this one.
