This can is from 2021 and it's 12%ABV.
Smell promises sweet dark mystery.
Taste follows through, with noticeable Belgian yeast flavor. A little sour, a little sweet, a little herbal, a little vanilla even. A lot like cough syrup, in a good way. Would be great with salty snacks. It's taken me most of the 16oz can to feel like the flavor notes are all working together. Am I educating my palate? Is the beer warming up? Is the 12% ABV affecting my beery judgement? Could be!
Feel: mild carbonation and alcohol warmth support the flavors nicely.
Overall: it's very good, and I like the complex flavors. I'm interested to see what Foulmouthed is doing with this style in a couple of years.
