Pours slightly hazy gold/orange color with a one finger fizzy off white head that settles quickly. The nose is decidedly sweet with caramel malt notes up front blended with some citrus hop notes. It comes across as a somewhat earthy, sweet fruit smell. Different yet pleasant enough. The taste is similar but the malt is more clear now - maybe a touch of nutty along with caramel notes, like a less-sweet praline. The citrus hops are of course still present and balance it off pretty well. This is a very floral flavor to some degree, and quite pungent. Feel is soft to the tongue. There is hardly any bitterness and a light to moderate amount of carbonation. The finish feels a little sticky in the mouth.
This is a well crafted beer and a testament to the the sophistication of the brewery. It incorporates Main-grown malts which is pretty cool being from Maine. They've done something pretty well with it and I recommend you try it.
