Pours light fizzy head low retention, little lacing, semi hazy cranberry to ruby red color
Nose sour reddish malts, tart funk, souring acidic bacteria, general bramble berry and sour cherry, little vanilla buttery oak, candy reddish malt, little perfumey alcohol
Taste brings sweet candy malt, Belgian toasted reddish malt, candi sugar, caramelized sugars, little toffee, big buttery and vanilla oak, dark red wine into tart cherry wine, mild sourness and acidity, more like tart berry and cherry fruit, little plum and prune, light perfumey alcohol, flemmy finish, more acidity and tartness, and sweet reddish malt
Mouth is fuller bod, fat warming alcohol, lighter carb, little syrupy and fair flemmy acidity
Overall mixed, I def would have preferred this without the funk and souring bacteria, it couldn't decide if it wanted to be an oude bruin or Flanders red or Belgian strong and became a bit messy somewhere in the middle, but nice barrel
