This is a great offering from Hanging Hills. I purchased a 4-pack from a liquor store that was a week old and thought it was one of the better beers I've ever had that isn't brewery only. Great representation of Galaxy hops and reminded me a lot of Bright w/Galaxy.

A: crystal clear; medium gold in color; 1 finger ivory head that receded to a wispy cap; very nice lacing;
S: grapefruit and pineapple;
T: grapefruit and pineapple for a moment, then an earthiness gets added in; these flavors stay through the finish;
M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;
O: I didn't experience the juice bomb that this is advertised to be; for me, the combination of hops in the this beer didn't work; still, very well made;

16oz can, sample from the brewery.
Pours a brilliantly clear rich golden hued brew, head and lacing put on a show all the way to the end. This DIPA is zesty all around, bit of spicy alcohol that goes floral, and some crackery maltiness holds this beer together. More than enough bitterness, booziness is noticeable, and the hop flavor does not want to let go of my palate. Good drinking all around, to style, and easy to sip.

L - digging the label. Unknown Pleasures? Pours a shimmering golden sunset. The slightest tiniest bit of haze permeates.
S - immediate aroma is loads of soft Galaxy hops. Pineapple, vanilla, orange. Lemon meringue and creamsicle. Then the booze muscles its way to the front. Sticky and malty, light burnt orange rind.
T - signature Hanging Hills taste of plastic and dry, bitter hops. Like ripples on a pond, the flavor starts concentrated in the middle of my mouth, then spreads out, leaving the center hollow and empty as flavor seeps into the crevices of my gums and cheeks. Shockwaves of grassy lemon lime and orange rind. There's a bit of sweet honey candy and green mango. Great balance between sweet and bitter. Refreshing but also satisfies the DIPA itch we all scratch on a daily basis. Finishes very bitter. Huh, takes on this strange cinnamon grittiness as it warms. I can feel the spices caking in the back of my throat!
F - would never guess this is 9% the way it feels. Low, smooth carbonation and a medium body. Complements the beer, but doesn't do much to enhance it further.
O - Hanging Hills always seems to have that weird overly hoppy plasticy type taste, and this is no exception, but it comes packed with plenty of punchy and flavorful hop profiles to bring this beer to life. The flavors are unfortunately fleeting, which can get you in trouble if you have stuff to do later that night.
