Delicious with a unique hop flavor that I wouldn't call bitter, mixed with citrus and a bolder finish. Goes down really smooth and easy for an 8%

They’ve changed the can label art and the hops used… so I’m essentially reviewing a different incarnation. This June 2024 version has motueka, citra and mosaic. It’s excellent. I immediately noticed a peculiar hop flavor straight away, a bright limonene terpene of bright lime coupled with what I always perceive as a buttery coconut fat note thats followed by a lightly greasy mouthfeel… which made me think oddball NZ hops… specifically motueka. This is a very rich brew that balances the thick mouthfeel with a zippy hop character that leaves it not too juicy or sweet. It hits that sweet-spot of 7.9 abv where it’s clear you’re having a double but none of the negatives of dipa are getting in the way here. It drinks like a very potent lush single.

16oz can (can't see the date on the bottom) poured into a nonic.
A: Mild-to-moderate hazed golden body with minimal head.
S: Subdued apricot, mango, and pineapple with a bready malt profile.
T: More of that light, generic tropical and stone fruitiness with malt backbone and light "green" hoppy bitterness.
MF: Nice NEIPA fluffy/creamy mouthfeel on par with the 8% abv.
O: Nothing really special here, its tasty enough but not really unique and nothing "pops" for me. Could be an older can.

Quite the trip from CT to WA ...our first sighting. A hazy pour, very much a NEIPA by looks. Nose is tropical citrus, be sure to get up close for the first pour. Solid IPA, no harshness with plenty of hop flavors and just a hint of sweetness from the malt bill. Citrus still dominates the long and smooth finish. The 8% ABV is well hidden, so not a beer to be pounded down after mowing the grass. Very nicely done. We were surprised to find this brewery here, so had to pick up a can and split it for oor review.

The giant eagle has been good to me lately another two dollar can of excellent craft beer into a Duvel glass. Slightly hazy looking clear orange yellow beer with a massive two full inches of froth! Smell is timid but bright fruit hops of mango and citrus with a taste of equal smoothness and snappy hop bite. Well concealed ABV smooth crisp easy drinking. Overall a great beer I wouldn't mind having again it's a shame they are usually so expensive!

I got a can of this beer from my local beer store just around the corner. It poured a hazy yellow with thin white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had ripe fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bold citrus start....then turns to citrus peel followed by a peppery finish. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall its a solid beer.
