Diverse hop blend of fruit flavors with a perfect sweet/bitter balance and even some malty undertones. Creamy feel that goes down smooth with a long-lasting lingering taste

This batch was the yellow label ddh with motueka. First sip was all citra and mosaic, tons of orange and that mosaic kaleidoscope of mixed fruit. Successive sips were all about the simcoe, slightly dry earthy bitter dominating especially on the finish. It drinks like an 8.75% abv beer. Aroma has that slightly medicinal band aid feel to it. Floral. I do think you get some lime from the motueka but it’s not a nose that agrees with me particularly. This beer is having a hard time competing with the last F.O.C. Dipa i had, the mayqueen, which was incredible… so this beer is perhaps being judged harshly… but i think the hops are presenting some of their characteristics that i don't enjoy. It’s all a bit sharp for me. I’d like some dank to balance the sharp stinging bright alcohol acidic astringency and overall richness. But if you like a dipa with some simcoe backbone you will like this. Tried the 2025 batch ddh with mosaic and i think I like it better. It still has the sharpness that I recall from the 2024 Motueka batch but What I like about this is I’m not getting excessive stone fruit from the mosaic which I tend not to like . it’s still very bright and tropical almost lime vibes goin on. But it’s a very interesting and memorable beer. I do wish FOC would include the hops used on the label because it’s hard to keep track of these iterations and to analyze what it is you’re tasting.

A new DIPA from Fat Orange Cat that sounded pretty good, I think this version is Citra and Strata? Thick dark orange pour with a tower of foamy, dense white head. Tropical fruitiness and stone fruit abound, melon and apricot too, malty sweet underneath, dense body, still drinkable at the ABV. Pretty good stuff.

ONE PINT can
Served in an oversized, stemless wine glass

This beer pours an orangish shade of yellow and is turbid. It is topped with an inch of tan head that leaves decent lacing.

Nice citrus notes. Oranges seem to be pronounced.

Nice citrus flavor. Mild bitterness. Oranges

Medium bodied with a creamy mouthfeel

First beer from Fat Orange Car. Not too shabby. I quite enjoyed it.

Appearance: Pours a dense, completely hazy (less than 5% clarity) pale yellow/orange color with a moderate white head. SRM of 6. (4.25)

Aroma: Intense aromas of orange citrus, tropical berry, pine. It's orange marmalade, sweet berry, with a strong pine. (4.50)

Flavor: Strong flavors of sweet orange, pineapple, orange marmalade, some sweet berry and pine underneath, but less than the nose. A lingering orange marmalade sweetness. (4.00)

Feel: Heavier bodied. Moderate carbonation and leans heavy and sweet. (3.75)

Compared to Equillibrium Double Fractal Hilbert Curve 9/15/22: Pours hazier and lighter. Stronger aromas. More orange marmalade, citrus, berry, and pine. Less gaseoline, and green mango.

Overall: A very nice imperial NEIPA here. Nice citrus, orange marmalade, mixed with sweet berry and pine notes from the Mosaic. Sweet, heavy, yet matches it with flavor, which not all imperial IPAs do. Very enjoyable. (Rating: 4.11)

Nicely brewed but too over the top orange, orange rind. It should be tempered a bit.
