32oz crowler. Pours a dark chesnutty orange with 2 inches of head. Good amount of lacing. The aroma is a blend of malts and hops. Caramel malts, dark bread, citrus fruits, earth, molasses and some floral hops. The taste is citrus and tropical fruits upfront followed by the Barleywine maltiness. Caramel, bread, molasses and dark fruits. Earthy, citrus peel finish. Reminds me of Bigfoot a bit. Pretty boozey, as expected. Lots of carbonation with a slightly oily mouthfeel. Medium body. It’s a Barleywine that’s more on the hoppy side and it works. I look forward to buying more of this.
