Undated can into pint glass. Pours a murky amber-gold-yellow with a modest and short-lived off-white head. Initial impression is huge citrus presence - orange, red grapefruit, mango, pineapple, tangerineamel malts - nicely complemented by car. There is also some pine and pepper in the background. Mouthfeel is soft and thick; carbonation is light. Finish is smooth and fairly sweet. This is a really enjoyable NEIPA - I would definitely revisit if available!

Only modest head production, with perhaps 1 1/2 fingers of snow white foam from a decent strength pour. Retention is good, and lacing is excellent. Body is a pulpy, hazy lemon-yellow with orange highlights, barely translucent at even the thinnest portions of the glass. Noticeable floaties detract from the appearance somewhat.

A wonderful blend of old- and new- style hop tones, with tropical and citrus tones, modest dankness, and even some pine. Grapefruit and mandarin orange, both bright and dank herbs, mango, peach, berries, honey, vanilla, cream.

Flavor follows, with an emphasis on the creamy, smooth, juicy tones, and exceptionally little bitterness (save a very mild kick on the back end). Modest dankness, which could be a function of the age of the brew, given Citra and Galaxy hops. Sweet orange, mango, peach, strawberries, vanilla.

Very soft and smooth feel, with just enough liveliness to both stay true to the style and yet still feel like a beer. The best NE IPAs manage to balance softness with even more liveliness, so this falls a touch short there, but it really manages the balance better than most non-NE brewers of the style, if you're looking for a comparison.

Fat Orange Cat makes several NE IPAs, most of them quite good, but this may be the best one I've had by them yet.

Citrus aroma - grapefruit, orange, citric acid. Short white head from a vigorous pour, dies quickly to scattered bubbles. A little lacing, but not much. Orange color with an almost opaque haze. Smooth and moderate feel, no carbonation to speak of, flat. Taste is citrus juice, the aforementioned orange, touch of pineapple, other tropical citrus. Has a slight acid bite on the back of the tongue, but otherwise not bitter. The citrus / juice flavor is most of what this beer had going for it. Otherwise, it is a bit bland.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned in 12/2018. Pours opaquely hazy deep golden amber color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big tangerine, orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge tangerine, orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Mild pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; with a solid malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is fantastic. Minimal warming alcohol for 7.5%. Overall this is an incredible NEIPA. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the minimally bitter/drying finish. Amazing soft feel and Galaxy, Simcoe, Citra profile. Extremely juicy and lightly dank/earthy hop complexity; perfect wheat/oat/malt balance. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazing spot on style example as expected.

Murky medium-pale gold, totally opaque like juice, under a finger or two of white foam... Typical New England-style IPA action here, with impressions of dank orange being at the fore... Nice tingle in a plush body... Fruity aromas up the nose suggesting citrus and orchard fare... Not overly sweet, very mild bitterness... Soft and smooth and full of gentle dark citrus... Very enjoyable...

They were definitely right when my local shop described this as "lots of blood orange". Its a great beer but I wish there were more different flavors/notes. That said it's a great neipa.

A: The beer is cloudy yellow in color. It poured with a finger high frothy white head that has good retention properties and never completely faded away.
S: Moderate aromas of peaches and passionfruit are present in the nose.
T: The taste has lots of flavors of peaches with notes of orange citrus and hints of passionfruit. No bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels just about medium-bodied and very juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This New England IPA is very juicy and has unique aromas and flavors of peaches.
