Orangish yellow, fully hazed, not much head. Dank nose, not fruity. Taste lighter than expected. Good pineapple and citrus with mild bitterness. Alcohol fully hidden. Above average body and light carbonation.

Nice creamy, orange flavored IPA that reminded me a little bit of an orange Creamsicle. Pours a slightly hazy yellow-orange color with some fluffy white head and nice spotty lingering lacing that coated the glass. Smells of some ripe orange, lemon, grapefruit, mango and pineapple. Also some malt, floral hops, herbal hops, creamy vanilla and bread. Taste follows the nose, nice balance between the slightly bitter hops and sweeter malt backbone with some vanilla undertones. Smooth, creamy, very slightly sticky mouthfeel with good carbonation. A real pleasure to drink.

Scent is sweet, candied with some citrus in there. Wait is this some type of citric medicine, they favors clash strangely at first but mellows out to a non sweet citrus ipa with low bitterness. On the upper end of what an IPA carbonation can be but works well. Good brew.

Look: Pours cloudy and hazy. An opaque, golden yellow color beer with a two and a half finger, rocky white head.

Aroma: Sugary backdrop of cotton candy (the blue kind). . . Slight herbal, medicinal pine bitterness. Big tropical papaya + mango. Tangerine/clementine. Some cherry/strawberry.

Taste: Medicinal and grassy- but only for a second. Instantly goes fruity after the initial dry herbal flavor. Mildly waxy, tart but juicy tangerine/clementine peel upfront, followed by some sugary banana bread. Some zesty lemon peel to punctuate it, along with very musky notes of papaya and mango. Sweet coconut. Ends on sweet toffee and gentle pineapple. . .

Feel: The mouthfeel works, and doesn't do the beer harm but is very thin, especially for a double NEIPA. Carbonation is very low, and while the physical weight of the beer is light; it's texture is silky, but somewhat "flat". Quite strange, I don't know if I'm a fan or not.

Overall: Definitely more of a "desert" or "night cap" style NEIPA in my book. For a double NEIPA it's not that bitter but it's still very tropical and fruity. . . but that thin; supple, under carbonated and sugary mouthfeel . . . I cant tell if I like it. Not mind blowing, not forgettable. I like it but would like to see it have a little bit more effervescence.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned in 7/2019. Pours opaquely hazy deep golden/orange/amber color with a 1 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, red apple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew, watermelon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, green pepper, pine, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of huge mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, red apple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew, watermelon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, green pepper, pine, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, red apple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew, watermelon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, green pepper, pine, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, fairly sticky, and lightly resinous/rindy mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 8%. Overall this is a fantastic NEDIPA. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/resinous/drying finish. Nicely soft feel, and not aggressive. Fantastic Citra, Ekuanot, El Dorado profile. Extremely juicy and fairly dank/earthy hops; with a great balanced wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and impressive spot on style example as expected.
