Drank from a 32 oz crowler purchased at Fat Orange Cat Brew Co., East Hampton, CT

Served in a tulip
Big thanks to my sister Vanessa for grabbing me this crowler.
Gorgeous appearance. The beer poured a hazy plum color and was topped by a super tight and creamy, two-finger tall, light pink crown that slowly dropped to a medium sized collar. A patchy wall of lacing trickled down the sides of the glass.
Blueberry notes dominated in the aroma. Really sweet and bright yet also somewhat tart. Blueberry Jolly Ranchers came to mind. A crisp, powdery yeastiness was also detectable. As the beer sat, other berry notes appeared. Strawberry for sure. There was no indication of watermelon however.
The flavor was also very berry forward and surprisingly sweet. Blackberry, blueberry, strawberry and raspberry were all noticeable. Unlike the nose, the blueberry was not as distinct initially, but it became more prominent later. The beer turned moderately tart as it moved along the palate. Again, some type of fruity hard candy, like a Jolly Rancher, came to mind. Bit of lemon in the center. The beer had a slight medicinal quality on the back end and the finish. More lemony tartness and lingering sweetness after the swallow.
Medium bodied mouthfeel. The liquid contained a fine, subtle carbonation that turned slightly creamy and slick on the palate.
Fat Orange Cat’s Blueberry Watermelon had a nice sweet-tart blueberry presence, but the watermelon was completely undetectable. All in all, this is a tasty and refreshing beer, perfect for enjoying on a hot summer day.
