Look: Pours a hazy, opaque orange juice color with a two finger, bone white head of foam. Minimal lacing.
Aroma: Slightly minty/floral. Ripe passionfruit, sweet orange juice, funky guava, a touch of clementine.
Taste: Very interesting. . . Upfront it's tart with notes of fresh squeezed orange juice and gentle bitter grapefruit rind. Dry, sweet/sour sensation. A touch of minty floral hops, very briefly. Things go funky midpalate with savory flavors of guava and passionfruit. Malt bill comes through on the tail end, showcasing a gentle taste of biscuits in the background.
Feel: The body is thick but not necessarily heavy. Most of the perceived weight comes from the low carbonation content. Sugar content does not detract from drinkability, the beer is neither overtly sweet or sour. 8.7% abv is not apparent, the beer doesn't feel alcoholic or hot.
Overall: Nice sour ale here. Tart, juicy and funky, with rich flavors of ripe passionfruit and guava.
