Look...Thick pulpy light copper with a full vibrant head. Ideal look with no floaties
Smell...dank grass and mango coconut, darkening pineapple
Taste...full complex juice bitter matching the aroma. Another gulp you discover why you need to imbibe more haha
A distinguishable dank beer with what like to say green qualities even though it is at least 6 weeks old. A well balanced big tasting beer with a lingering bitter green
Feel...A Maximum effort that gives this beer an exceptional quality. a full yet slick enough to really work on the swallow
Overall...I think this is the best Double IPA I have had from Fat Orange Cat.!!So well crafted. A well delivered beer
Nice job 12% and FOC

I’m not a double IPA guy and most New England style double IPAs are too sweet too rich and too juicy for me… But this beer has such a nice flavor that I can forgive the shortcomings of the style. It’s incredibly rich there’s almost a coconut-y Fattiness to it. An oxygenated slurp is the way to go here. All kinds of fruit flavors are popping off to the point where I can’t even specify. There’s nothing dank everything is soft, bubblegum, fruity, ripe And delicate Even at 8.9% alcohol by volume this is crushable. The nose is underwhelming In comparison. But flavor is almost secondary to mouth feel and the Richness. I want to say vanilla, but that’s not quite right. It has a Harvey wallbanger Creamsicle (but yet somehow not orange) vibe with earthy, Ethereal vanilla Underpinning. Seeing that this brew contained Nelson Sauvin hops explains a lot. That’s what I’ve been tasting. The white grape element was coming across As a very smooth silky near vanilla-pear and was giving it the pop that I’ve experienced in other Nelson beers. While not starkly original or different from other double IPAs that I’ve had it certainly is one of the more enjoyable. The combination of the new zealand hops makes this standout above most nedipas.

Can into pint glass. Pours a murky orange-gold with a modest off-white head. Great lacing. Initial impression is orange, pineapple, mango, and a fairly sweet caramel base. Alcohol is extremely well hidden. Mouthfeel is soft and chewy. Finish fades to a slight bitterness. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable and eminently drinkable DIPA from FOC. I bought this as a single; now I wish I'd picked up a 4-pack!

A: The beer is very hazy to cloudy pale yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that left a thin collar around the edge and some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of grapefruit, passion fruit and white grape are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has additional hints of basil herbs. No bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels medium-bodied and juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer has a very interesting combination of aromas and flavors from the hops and drinks more like an IPA than a Double IPA since any traces of alcohol are well hidden from the taste.
