L - Slightly unfiltered golden orb look toooooo this - sticky lacing up top, good head if poured properly. Nice.
S- An interesting combo of honey, hops, melon, cat-pee (in a good way!), and a complex malt layering. Almost a baked to brown bread note on a big DIPA that is really intriguing. Overriding all of this is an interesting mandarin orange peel whiff that.... ugh. Yes.
T - Where this beer sings; to my humble mind and opinion, THIS is what Hopslam and Waldo's could be - balanced, holding the line between the ABV sweetness without cloy, and a good hop forward complexity with a malt backbone that is just bakery deep. More citrus on that back end? Yes.
F - Good carbonation, but not nauseatingly gassy, and good palate attack with ZERO hotness detected.
O - this is one of my favorite beers of 2022 and I hope the collab gets revisited. Fantastic stuff.

From the bottom of the can: "03/24/22 09:31"
Appearance: The body is very hazy but dark fuzzy shadows are visible through the glass. It has a dark burnished gold color. The head is very large, fluffy and white. Very good retention and lacing.
Aroma: It smells like candied orange with a touch of caramel.
Taste: Interestingly it starts off with a bitter grapefruit flavor that starts in the front and creeps along the edges of the tongue, getting sweeter as the beer moves to the center. Some candied orange peel and alcohol in the middle. The flavors each are interesting on their own but they all feel out of place and never harmonize. Bitter root finish.
Mouthfeel: It is very bitter at all times. Carbonation feels normal. Body is medium with a light slickness. Alcohol presence hampers drinkability a tad.
Overall: It is drinkable but it feels like a mismatch of components and it is pretty boring. The can states that it is a "WEST COAST STYLE INDIA PALE ALE" and it does have some citrus notes but it isn't enough to carry the beer. It's good enough to drink but I wouldn't buy it again and it's not one I would recommend.

16oz can. Poured out a cloudy, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of orange, grapefruit, pineapple, toffee and caramel. Sweet tropical fruit taste with a piney bitterness and toasted caramel backbone.

Pours a nice golden color with a bit of orange hue to it, light hazy to it. You can see the bubbles rising up to feed the dense thumb sized cream colored head, leaves some good sheet lacing behind a nice looking brew.
Aroma is citrus orange dominating with nice pine backing underneath. Some more subtle floral notes underneath.
Taste is big citrus dominating the bready malts, orange moving to lingering grapefruit rind mingled with pine resin that leaves behind a good coating on the tongue. A big IPA with a good hop kick as it warms you can feel the 9% but its blended very well and adds to the experience.
Mouthfeel is a big medium with average carbonation.
Overall could be little more aromatic but its got good hop flavors and bitterness, would have again if I saw it about. A good big IPA.
