Copenhagen 28/3 2024. 47,3 cl can from Kihoskh, Sønder Boulevard, Kbh. V. A caped cat wielding a scythe on the can. All kinds of puns related to cats.

Pours opaque, dark brown with a mid-sized beige head. Settles as thin rim of foam running along the side of the glass. No lacing.

Aroma is intense with a sweet malty odor with a distinct touch of sweet spice mingling with alcohol. Dark roasted malts, an abundance of brown sugar, cinnamon, dark chocolate, coffee and a touch of vanilla. Chili vibe.

Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, a bit viscous and a little sticky, lightly tingling texture. Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a solid chili burn. Lingering. Finish is semi-dry with a hot touch.

Sweet and spicy.

16 ounce can, Julian date 23262 (August 13, 2023) stamped on the bottom of the can. Thanks to Brutaltruth for this! Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with almost a couple inch tan head that stuck around for a long time. There's also a good amount of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like coffee, dark chocolate, roasted malt, dark fruit and some vanilla. For the most part I think the taste is pretty much just like the aroma, but there's also some burnt/charred malt, cream and caramel flavors noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is full, it's slick and a bit syrupy with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a good overall coffee imperial stout, would like to try this one again in the future!

From the 16 oz can in a snifter. This excellent leaning towards pastry imperial
pours a lush coal black with a very nice head of light brown foam that settles to a
thick ring, thin clumping layer, and sports some exceptional lacing. Nose of rich coffee,
cream, light char, and brulee. Flavors nail it! Dark coffee, rich cream, cocoa, balanced
char, deep roast, vanilla, and dark berry hints. Mouth feel is full, smooth, rich, coating,
light carbonation, and a bitter malt finish.

A pastry style steeped in excellence!

A must try!

Cheers
