Pours pitch black with a two finger creamy head, dissipates after a couple minutes into an off-white ring of larger bubbles. Smells of roasted malt and faint vanilla sweetness. Taste is bitter roasted malt, faint vanilla, spent coffee grounds--taste profile is very similar to NA Black Butte Porter from Deschutes and if I tasted this blindly, I'd likely assume it were an NA. Mouthfeel is thin, moderately carbonated but not creamy or as full in body as other oatmeal stouts. Finish is somewhat bitter that quickly turns somewhat sweet and black coffee.

Little head production and poor retention, quickly fading to a still surface; a bit odd for a modest ABV oatmeal stout.
Aroma reveals nothing amiss. It's pleasant, very slightly roasty, with hints of cola and vanilla.
Decent enough on the palate. There's a bit of vanilla that comes through, mostly on the second half, accompanied by chocolate notes. Otherwise, however, this is a fairly bland stout, with notes of cola and light roast.
There's nothing bad about this beer, and it's decent enough, but it's far from great. I wouldn't turn it down, but I won't purchase it again for home consumption, either.
