Amber pour, looking very Marzen. Nice foamy slightly off-white head. Toasty grain nose. Flavor is toast with a subtle caramel sweetness that does not undercut the crisp grain which takes centerstage. Very solid festbier, a worthy autumn treat.

Poured into a wide mouth, grip shaped goblet: color is light cold, head is off white and presents one finger thick, dissipates quickly to nothing, no lacing.

Smell is toasted malt, light caramel, bright and earthy hops.

Taste is similar with toasted malt, grapenuts, light caramel, crisp and earthy hops.

Mouthfeel is moderate carbonation, moderate sweetness, low/moderate bitterness.

Overall a good blended style marzen/festbier with a lean to more malty marzen.

A: crystal clear; bronze in color; a1+ finger finely pored very light tan head that receded to a wispy cap with a fat, tight collar; OK lacing;

S: sweet malt;

T: bready and mildly sweet from start to finish; mild bitterness in the aftertaste (which is really just the result of the dry finish);

M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; dry finish;

O: really nice;

Beautiful golden amber color but not much aroma to it. Balanced, roasted malt taste with some caramel notes, and a very moderate carbonation that goes down real easy

On draught, an amber caramel colored pour with a nice head and random lacing.
The flavor is of toasted and caramelized malt, subtle graininess. Faint toffee, citrus, and earthiness linger in the background. Bitterness is low, the finish and aftertaste are pleasant.

16oz can. Poured out a clear, golden amber color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left sudsy lacing. It smelled of caramel, bready malt, toffee and citrus. Sweet caramel maltiness with toasted notes and a mild bitterness.

Pours a slightly hazy amber, 3" foamy head that subsides with very good lacing and retention. Nose is spicy rye crackers, melba toast, brown bread, light caramel. Despite the nose, taste is oddly sweet and tart. There are tart cherry notes right off the bat, Sweet and Low, sweet tarts and Nerds. The flavor isn't overwhelming, but there's nothing in the way of the spice, malt, and grain notes that the nose suggests. Not sure if this was infected or not, but this seemed very out of place. Feel is solid - medium body and small carbonation. This wasn't a winner for me.

The pour is goldenrod colored with a fair amount of carbonation. The taste is sweet roasted malt, caramel, grains, honey, & some earthy herbal notes. Cheers! B

A solid, all-around marzen...

It has a nice gradient hued coloration of orange and copper to go along with a to-style smell that's full of wheat. Mouthfeel is a bit astringent, but the taste is low-key and enjoyable. I kinda think of this as a bit sessionable for how easy-drinking it is.
