ONE PINT can
Served in a stemless wine glass
This beer pours a dull yellow hue and is turbid. It is topped with a couple inches of creamy, beige head that coats the side of the glass.
Sweet and fruity aroma. I get some citrus. Lemon
Sweet upfront. Citrus flavor
Full bodied with a pillowy mouthfeel
Solid IPA.

A danker and earthier baby kittens that is a bit less sweet and a bit more bitter. Pours a beautiful golden orange that smells like fresh citrus. It feels more watery than any other kittens, but not bad.

I’m guessing this beer has Simcoe in it because I’m getting everything that I associate with Simcoe hops. It has an earthy, almost dirty note to it. I’m not getting the “dank” it advertises on the label in terms of skunky marijuana or anything like that. This beer is only a week old, which usually is right where I like my beer: super fresh. Yet…This tastes like it needs to open up a bit somehow. This stands apart from other iterations of the kittens recipe as having a much more pronounced, dusty, bitter finish that is entirely evocative (at least to me) of Simcoe hops. Some lemon and the perception of pine. Soapy?… but in a good way (if that’s possible). Hazy? yes. juicy? no. This is an East Coast IPA with some West Coast sensibilities.

16oz can. Poured out a cloudy, golden orange color with a small, white head of foam. It left sudsy lacing. It smelled of orange, grapefruit, peach and caramel. Sweet tropical fruit taste with toasted caramel and a piney bitterness.
