You will find me by the aroma of fish & chips wafting about my very aura.

Really though, we parked down a semi-industrial road, and the entire walk to the brewery was fish & chips with malt vinegar all up in our nose thanks to the food truck that seems almost permanently parked in their patio/fenced off parking lot. Whether that's a feature or a bug is your call.

The place was unexpectedly packed on this somewhat brisk yet sunny midday, despite them having absolutely zero of the fruited beers their online presence is somewhat known for. It was a full on ladies who brunch crowd, which threw both of us off as they were largely serving IPAs and that's about it. Aside from a cider and seltzer.

That said, the beers were quaff worthy, including one barrel aged stout that came as promised, overflowing with vanilla. They also had a guest saison that was worth nabbing a sip of.

The atmosphere is kind of like a bustling beach bar under the trees, without the beach, though it's a short 5-10 minute walk away to some cliffs that are absolutely plastered with beautiful flowers all over. The interior bar at Humble Sea is solely reserved for ordering or picking up packaged product, at least in practice, as it's otherwise a constant line of people filling up the small space. Being this close to Private Press and all the other restaurants and shops in the Swift Street Courtyard nextdoor is its biggest perk.

Humble Sea has several outpost taprooms but this is the taproom at the brewery. They offer a full spectrum of HS beers. The place is immensely popular and can get pretty busy. Food truck on premises.

Dropped in to the Santa Cruz beer garden on a Sunday afternoon. Super chill spot with plenty of outdoor seating and a solid taco truck slinging food. Love being able to order with your phone from the table when the line at the counter backs up. Great selection on the board, light, dark, hoppy, tart; they even had a slush made from one of their "Superfood Smoothie" beers. It can be a little tricky to find a parking spot, but it's worth the effort. I'll definitely be back.

A local brewery at the edge of beautiful Santa Cruz that always offers a diverse range of beer types. Great hospitality and ambiance the workers are always really friendly and eager to help you find what you are looking for. While most weekends you will find that you will need to wait for a table it is well worth it,weekdays are way calmer and seating is mostly open. Usually weekends mean new releases, which is something Humble Sea is constantly putting out, week in and week out this great brewery has been releasing out at least 2-3 different cans weekly and constantly selling out as well, if you are ever in the Santa Cruz area do yourself a favor and check out this brewery and grab a 4 pack before heading to the beach which is roughly 10 minutes away or just stay and enjoy the great coastal vibes this brewery offers.

I visited Humble Seas on a holiday, but it didn’t seem overly crowded. Lots of regulars gave it a friendly, laid-back vibe. Great selection of beers, and an amazing pizza made for a great visit.
