A: very slight haze; medium gold in color; 1 finger finely pored white head that receded to a wispy cap with a moderate, tight collar; OK lacing;

S: grainy; slight sweetness balanced by a touch of hop spiciness;

T: mildly sweet malt from start to finish; mild to moderate bitterness at the end;

M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;

O: OK, but one note; didn't pick up the breadiness, fruit, or hop character often found in this style;

Can from tfontana, thanks for the trade!
Brilliantly clear light gold in color with a bubbly off white head that persists. Bready crackery maltiness with hints of fruit and earthy spice. Pretty nice kolsch.

(16fl Oz can into typical pub glass)
L: less than one finger pure white head. Mostly clear pale straw to light gold in color.
S: light notes, sweet and floral. Sweet malt or a honey note.
T: Honey and wheat notes. A bit of a crisp hop character that finishes dry toward the middle/end. Refreshing. The “crispness” isn’t as clean as some other kolsch beers as this seems to be a moderate or heavier style kolsch in my opinion.
F: crisp and light for the hot weather but not too light. Light-medium body.
O: A rather simple brew. A very good example of a kolsch, albeit a heavier body kolsch than some. I actually found this preferable to the super light variety.

Poured from an undated 12oz can picked up at the brewery last weekend to a Nonic at fridge temp. However, given the weather today the chill on this beer did not last long.
A medium clear gold body sits below a small head that fades to zero fairly quickly. Not a typical Kolsch head.
The aroma is more to style, spicy and malty with sweet notes.
The front of the taste is similar to the aroma, but the hops come in subtly on the finish.
Mouthfeel is light with an ever so slight oiliness.
The can says "Crisp, Clean and Uncomplicated". I will give them the 2nd two, but this is not a "crisp" Kolsch.

Connecticut/New England is getting its first heat wave of the Summer and I need something light. Thank goodness Legitimus is serving up a clear and crisp Kolsch. The carbonation in this is a torrential storm of whirling gas, with a well propped up head. The body is foamy and predictably active, with a tasty and sweet malt bill. A little stickier than a pilsener, especially given the hot weather, but still crisp and nice.
