Very nice poor. Good head that sticks around for a very long time clinging to the sides.
No real nose.
Very good, solid stout.
Nothing special but certainly a good beer.

Can from Airforcehops, thanks for sharing. Dark brown with faint garnet edges and a thin off white head. Roasty chocolate brown sugar and molasses with some earth and fruit to counter. Pretty nice.

Served at cellar temp in a crystal snifter. 2020 vintage. Dark brown to inky black and opaque, a frothy head of beige foam rises up thick and settles out to a fine cap with bubbles around the outside edges of the glass. Low aroma of dark malt and subtle bourbon notes, a touch of smoke. Flavor matches the nose, dark malt with bourbon notes, not overly rich, would like more depth. Moderate to thin mouthfeel. A decent sipper, but expected more.

Sampling a cellar temp 375 ml bottle poured into a snifter. The beer was purchased at the brewery recently.
Beer pours a clear cola brown color and rests in my glass a black coffee color with no light passing through. A dense creamy beige head foams up about 1 cm and fades to a sturdy surface layer with some frothy bubbles. This foam leaves some thin and scattered lattice as I swirl the beer in the glass.
Aroma on this beer is some anice notes and a bit of charred malt scent. I also get some floral notes too and a bit of buried phenolic note. Hmm, may not sit on these bottles too long.
First sip reveals a medium body with fine yet tingly carbonation. A slightly slick mouthfeel exists on this beer. Not as thick as I would expect from an imperial stout, but its okay.
Flavor is some roasted malt and again a bit of charred wood and some dark chocolate notes. This moves to some brown sugar flavors and a dark chocolate note and mild bourbon notes that linger long after each swallow. I dont get any hops here and the booze is remarkably well hidden.
I was worried about the nose a little and the body could be thicker, but overall this is a solid imperial stout. I would like to try the non-barrel aged version for comparison.
