F: Fell is on point
O: I rated this 4.0 on draft but would go 4.25 out of the can

16oz can courtesy of Roguer. According to the stamp on the bottom of the can, it was canned on September 7, 2022.
Poured into a dimpled mug, this was a clear, autumnal looking golden amber, a little lighter than is usual for the style. Modest, beige colored head. Decent lace.
Caramelish sweet malts, at a fairly mellow level, vie with some toasted bread notes in the nose. There's a bit of grassy, herbal hoppiness here to be smelled as well.
Sweetly malty in the taste up front, but with a decent amount of restraint. I've rarely had Marzens that had much in the way of hop flavor. This one has just the right amount to balance the maltiness, keeping keep it from being cloying, and are of the mellow, herbal, hay-like variety one would expect of something with a European pedigree.
Lightly crisp and clean mouth feel, just the right amount of carbonation.
Really nice Marzen. I could drink several of these were into be found during O-fest/Marzen season. Again, FF nails it.

Poured on 12/31/2022 from a 16oz can into a US tumbler pint glass.
A: The beer is a light gold color, with a short white head that fades quickly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains caramelized malts, lager yeast, some grassy hops and a touch of fruit.
T: The taste likewise starts out bready with flavors of lager yeast and a hearty but not to heavy malt character. Then some mild malt sweetness comes in along with flavors of caramel and some fruit. The hops presence is above-average for the style and brings a very good balance. The after-taste is slightly bready and slightly sweet.
M: Smooth and crisp, light-to-medium body, medium carbonation, finish is clean.
O: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, decent kick, good representation of style. This is a very solid beer to drink for a while if you’re in the mood for the style.

Beautiful golden body, more typical of a Festbier - but Fox Farm calls this a Märzen, so I'm going with that. Excellent head production; decent retention at best. Body is crystal clear.
Wonderful nose: grassy, lightly herbal, fresh. Notes of hay, lemon, toast, honey.
Fairly sweet and quite malty on the palate, perhaps more in line with the Märzen style than I would have thought. Caramel, toast, agave, white bread, honey - all rounded out with a bark and leather hop expression. Moderate bitterness for the style, lending it an excellent drinkability despite the malt showcase. Finish is all hops and semi-dry.

Pours the part, golden hued, fluffy white head, slow moving carb, just a great looking pale lager. Smell is predominantly of sweet malt upfront, leading into some herbal spiciness, There's a good amount of pepper upfront, almost arugula-like, leading into a grape must and capsicum, smells good.
Upfront is a really complex malt bill, pushing through spice and sweet malt sugar. It's supremely balanced, better than anything I've had this year upfront. Devolves into an equally balanced blend of hop character, specifically that would be full-rounded herbaceous blending with spicy, pronounced adjectives. It's a lovely take. The finish is all delicious sweet malt and clean, spicy hop character. Helluva beer.

Mild haze to the darker gold color--far short from amber. Smallish head but it sticks around and leaves several streaks on the glass.
The barley aromas lean more to the raw grain than to the pale malt. Very close to the smell I expect from a Helles. Not much toastiness to the nose.
High carbonation, like the style dictates, but the body is a bit thinner to my liking. The flavor starts off like the aforementioned Helles, but the finish brings on hop bitterness that far exceeds the expectation. It's not an IPA, but it comes close. The aftertaste is strictly hop with no lingering malt presence. Overall, it's a good beer but might fit better into a pale lager category.

Picked-up a single can at Fox Farm Brewery in Salem, Connecticut for about four dollars. My fifth brew reviewed from these guys. Not my favorite style, but well done.
