Pours a matte dirty yellow color. Completely opaque. Two finger white velvety head displays amazing head retention. Some soapy lacing was left on the glass as I drank the beer.
Aroma was very herbal and almost vegetal - and I don't mean herbal as a euphemism for marijuana - I mean it literally smells like dried herbs. Light notes of lemon grass and a whiff of citrus are also noted.
The taste is essentially a nice clean malt base with a very bitter, earthy hop flavor painted on top of that. The hows have notes of dried sawgrass, hints of limes, an earthy - almost dirt like flavor - overall its pretty bitter with a mildly astringent finish.
Feel is medium bodied for a pale ale with a nice vibrant carbonation. the bitterness lingers on the finish with a palpable presence on the palate.
Overall the beer itself was fine, but I was not a big fan of the hops - these "freestyle hops NZL-60" - that they used in the beer.

Fox Farm's latest Roam version. This one didn't disappoint. Pours a cloudy grapefruit color with a decent head and so-so head retention. Minimal lacing. Smells good, but doesn't pop in any particular way. Taste is very good. This is my first go with NZL-60 hops, and they are quite good. Creamy and smooth but without being gimmicky. This is a good beer that I'd love to see Fox Farm brew again.
