Avalonia Red started with a blend of wine barrel-aged golden ales that were selected to be refermented on a blend of cherries and raspberries.

Pours an iridescent dark red with minimal pink head. Aroma is light raspberry and cherry with medium acidic funk. Has great fruit flavor, bright raspberry and cherry mix with an earthy, funky, lightly acidic base. Barrel aging rounds it out nicely. Love the micro-carbonation. Overall a very nucely executed BA funky beer.

This one pours a golden and vivid red color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like candied and sweet cherry, jammy raspberry, lemon, and some light funk.
The fruit is done quite well here, with a juicy and jammy character, with more sweetness than expected. There is a bit of acidity, but it's mostly just juicy berry goodness.
This is light bodied, slightly creamy, and rich, with a great drinkability.
This is really well done, but I do like Avalonia Black better.
