Roam, our rotating hop Pale Ale, features Cashmere and Meridian this time around. Two relatively new varieties from the Pacific Northwest, one might expect to find flavors and aromatics of lemon custard, stone fruit, tropical fruit and maybe a bit of spearmint. We get a bit of each but were pleasantly surprised to find a prominent note of ripe, sweet cantaloupe. No doubt a fun and fruitful iteration of Roam.

This one pours a golden hazy yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like lemon, grapefruit, grassy hops, mango, and general tropical fruits.
This is nice stuff. These are mostly new to me hops, and add a nice spiciness and candied hoppy lemon sort of flavor. There's also grapefruit and a nice tropical citrusy character.
This is light bodied, clean, and very crisp - it drinks bigger than the ABV would suggest.
This is a fun series - Fox Farm does it well.

16oz. can served in a nonic. Pours a pale yellow with a loose, 1/9th inch, off-white head that quickly sizzles and disperses towards the shoulders. Clarity is slightly hazy. Nose is fairly nondescript - some hints of lemon. Taste follows nose with a kiss of biscuit malts and some lemon zest at the finish. Mouthfeel is light in body with a spritzy carbonation. Overall. a decent APA but not my favorite from this brewer.
