This week, we’re pleased to share a new IPA - Tideline. Earlier this year we had the opportunity to brew with an exciting experimental hop variety in HBC 586 and we were instantly impressed with the hop's dynamic and distinctive qualities. Yet to be named and technically still in a trial stage, the idea of designing (what we hope is) a new addition to the rotation is hardly recommended but we’re hopeful that HBC 586 has staying power. The showcase hops with its huge tropical fruit character - passionfruit, pineapple, and mango - is complimented with light additions of Simcoe and Nelson Sauvin.

On tap at Sabatinis in Exeter pa earlier this evening.
Good looking beer, hazy yellow body, decent head, excellent lacing. Aroma is hoppy and herbal, which carrys over into the taste. Quite bitey, and warming. No citrus notes. Overall, very good beer, but not as expected.

Pours a hazed & effervescent gold with one finger of cream-colored head. Okay head retention & lacing
S: Tons of tropical fruit, some citrus; Guava, Papaya & Mango
T: Guava, mango, oranges, limes & pineapple acidity/sweetness up front, a kiss of coconut too. Green melon, oranges & pineapple, pls a little dryness as this beer warms, plus a little pineapple & peach. Finishes a little dry with lime, pineapple & oranges
MF: Medium body, firm carbonation, nice balance
Super drinkability, very nice favor profile

Intensely hoppy brew. Strongly dank, but bringing along serious notes of mango, guava, papaya, pineapple, orange, pear, berry, and peach.
Somewhere between a throwback bitter WC IPA and a soft NE IPA.

Can from the brewery in Salem, CT. Pours a hazy light golden orange with a finger of rocky beige head that sticks around, nice lacing; smell is tropical hop candy, big guava and passionfruit, pineapple, hints of citrus and yellow cake; taste follows the nose with guava, passionfruit, orange sorbet, kiwi, dank and pithy finish, hints of pineapple cake and mint; feel is medium bodied with medium carbonic bite. A nose for days, tropical dank goose juice.

Poured from a 16oz can packaged on 6/8/22 to a Nonic glass at fridge temp.
There is an opaque orange body sitting below a 1.5 inch white head that fades rather quickly. Lacing is medium but works all the way to the bottom of the glass.
The aroma is musty and tropical with notes of orange and pineapple.
Taste is similar with pith and a hint of white grapes. The front end is sweet but your mouth dries nicely after the swallow making you want another swig.
The mouthfeel is medium for the style.
A solid beer with no issues.

Poured the oranger side of amber and while it looked opaque it wasn't when held up to a light. The near while head was surprisingly short at less than 2 cm, but made up for it in long lasting lacing.
The aroma was mild for my damaged nose, but what I got was very pleasant.
The taste, this is rather unlike any IPA I recall. It's got fruit undertones, but no citrus. Think mango and peaches. There were other flavors swirling around in there but my untrained tongue was unable to define them. Regardless, it was *really* tasty.
The feel was excellent - from the appearance you might expect 'bits' or viscosity, but this felt clean and quaffable.
OA, truly enjoyed trying this, thank you Bill!

Appearance is a hazy orange / amber color with a finger of medium density white head that recedes slowly to a thin cap leaving behind a small amount of lacing. Aroma is plenty strong, in a good way. Loads of tropical fruits, with mango leading the charge. There's more going on than just the mango, but I lack the sophistication to pick up the exact underlying fruits, but I do know that I like how it smells.
Taste is nuanced and nicely balanced. There isn't any single flavor that that hits you in the face, but there's a nice blend of mango / pineapple that works very well with a light bitterness that rounds out the flavor profile nicely. For my tastes, the feel is the standout here. Extremely full and pillowy soft.
Overall, even though I'm not an IPA fan in general, I'm really enjoying this one.

Hazy golden color with small white cap and good lacing.
Strong aroma of mixed citrus whose combined scents overpower the hops to a degree. What hop scent I could detect is clean and sharp.
Taste is fruit driven with hops back. Brewer lists Passion Fruit, Pineapple and Mango as the hop created Tropical fruit flavors and while I can't identify these individually I can visualize them mixed together in this beer. Hop bitterness is present in abundance but doesn't step out of a secondary role.
Texture is full, smooth and velvety soft. Texture is so remarkable in this manner I don't really notice the balancing carbonation until the aftertaste.
I've had so called NEIPA styles from national or local brewers but this is the real stuff.
