Excellent head production; good retention and lacing. Body is moderately hazy, but by no means a "hazy NE pale ale." It's translucent and a light lemon yellow hue.
Very dank nose, along with notes of lemon, papaya, a touch of grapefruit, and berries. Far danker than my preference, but that should be a hit with many BAs.
That dankness translates to the palate, along with notes of lemon drop candy and berries, balanced fairly well against a clean grainy male malt bill. Despite the moderate-to-strong dankness, it doesn't bring along with it (m)any bright green herbal notes; the emphasis is more on fruitiness and the malt base, with light touches of white bread and honey. Light to moderate bitterness; if you're expecting a modern APA masquerading as an IPA, this is more of a throwback APA, at least in terms of bitterness and balance - just with a lot of late-addition hops.
Slightly grainy mouthfeel, but otherwise smooth, creamy, and lively. You could crush this one, if so inclined.
The more I have of this one, the more it grows on me. It's not my ideal hoppy APA, but it's really darn good.

Hazy medium gold color with small white cap and light lacing.
Aroma of slightly sharp deeply herbal hops with a touch of sweet malt.
Taste begins with flavors of hops and malt in about a 60/40 ratio with hops on top. Hops are clean, bitter and sharp. Malt comes across as rounded, buttery and slightly sweet. Finish is clean, short and refreshing.
Texture is medium with balancing carbonation.
Overall this is a very good example of a Pale Ale and should serve also as a food accompaniment.
