Tussle was designed with the simple goal of nudging forward the intensity and saturation of hop character in a Pale while maintaining the drinkability that we demand from the style. A blend of Cryo hops (HBC-586, Mosaic, and Simcoe).

Canned 11/1, gifted 11/24, opened 12/5 pours murk deep golden orange. Aroma is hoppy floral bubblegum. Taste is wild berry , earthy piney sweet and mild. Feel is soft and dry smacky smacky with the pine. Very good pale ale hopped on hops in a great way!

Pours murky, pale gold in color with one inch head. Taste is lemon, lime and citrus hops. Light bodied, bitter, moderate carbonation. A nice and nuanced pale ale. I prefer other Fox Farm beers but this is tasty.

16oz. Can served in a tulip nonic. Pours a lovely golden orange with a slight haze to the clarity and a creamy, 1/8th inch, bright white head. Nose reveals citrus and herbal notes as will as some crackery malts. Taste follows nose; however, malt is transposed with citrus/herbal notes in presentation in the flavor profile, and finishes with a light crackery/medicinal kiss. Mouthfeel is light in body with a pleasant, crisp, assertive carbonation and a semi-dry finish. Overall, a very solid APA. FF can really do no wrong in my eyes.

This one pours slightly hazy golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like grapefruit rind, lemon, berry, and orange.
This is light and soft tasting, with a simple but pleasant grapefruit, lemon, and orange hop character, just a touch of floral bitterness, and a wisp of berry-like Mosaic sweetness.
This is light bodied, super drinkable, and finishes quite smooth with a pleasant bitterness.
Fox Farm makes some of the best hoppy beers in New England - not enough people know that.

Long lasting dense head. 3D lacing of rings and streaks. Cloudy, dirty gold.
Strong vegetal, weedy hop nose. Very biting.
The taste has a bit more balance but the beer definitely leans bitter. Above average body but with an elevated carbonation. Not as bitter as the smell suggests, but does provide a lengthy aftertaste.

Poured from a 16oz can dated 5/25/22 to a Nonic at fridge temp.
A one finger bright white head sits above a light orange opaque hazy body. Lacing is medium to low, but glass swirls bring highlights that sink in 5-10 seconds.
The aroma is a blend of all the types of citrus rind you can imagine backed by a hint of musty malt.
The taste is quite similar to smell. Lemon comes through as the dominant citrus and the malt finishes at the back end with a slightly sweet, slightly dank finish. At 5.5% there is no sense of the alcohol.
The mouthfeel is light and carbonation is medium but appropriate.
It’s nice to have an APA so full of flavor.
