The next hop to be featured in Roam, our rotating, single-hop Pale Ale is Peacharine from the fields of Freestyle Hops in Upper Moutere, New Zealand. Still an experimental variety, we’re immensely grateful for the opportunity to work with this beauty of a hop. True to its tasting notes of Nectarine, Red Plum and White Grapefruit, Peacharine is full of bright high notes while showing great depth and a sense of completeness – a balance of qualities we rarely find in a hop.

Appearance: Arrives a cloudy goldenstraw with a two-finger head that leaves webs of lacing behind
Smell: Pineapple, peach, melon and kiwi tones
Taste: Similar to the aroma, the pineapple is prominent but the more floral peach and melon flavors emerge nicely; through the middle, some orange and kiwi elements add another angle; low bitterness
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: Some would think of this as an NE IPA; I won't quibble but it is quite enjoyable

Hard pour into a tumbler. Pours a hazy ,golden yellow with a fluffy/rocky four-finger, bright white head. Nose expresses notes of light stone fruit, a spicy quality and rind. Taste is softer - mostly melon and a kiss of the grain bill. Mouthfeel is light in body with a soft texture to the mouthfeel and a mild, even carbonation. Overall, this beer is nuanced and exceptionally quaffable.

9/25/24 can from the brewery. Pours a hazy pale straw yellow with a finger of white head that dissipates to a ring, smell is dank tropical fruit candy, peach rings, and peach flesh, taste is peach cake and peach curd, dank peach flesh, and citrus peel, feel is is light, medium carbonation, dry finish. A crushable dank peach treat.
