Barrel-Aged Xenia

Batch 4 bottled Dec. 22 and served in a tulip. Pours a lovely honey gold with a slight haze to the clarity and a fizzy, quarter inch, bright white head that quickly disperses towards the shoulders forming a thin, tight band. Nose expresses a big hit of rosemary and lemon peel. Taste follows nose with the merest hint of spirits from the spent barrel; however, lemon is more forward.. Mouthfeel is light in body with a bright carbonation and a pleasant acidity. Overall, quite tasty; however, I don’t get any of the honey character I recall from the non-BA offering.
