Presentation: 32 oz. crowler with the canning date written on the label. Served in a tulip glass.
Appearance: It's mostly black, with some very dark brown showing up on the edges. The tan colored, one finger head goes away fairly quickly and leaves behind some lacing in small spots.
Smell: The roasted malt aroma hits the nose first, followed by some warm chocolate and cinnamon notes.
Taste: There's roasted malt, oatmeal, dark chocolate, brown sugar, a hint of coffee and even some raisins in there as well.
Mouthfeel: It's got some heft but it's not robust or heavy by any means. It leans more towards the lighter side of things. It's also mildly crisp with medium-high carbonation.
Overall: A very good oatmeal stout that has a lighter than average body for the style which is great in the tropical market that it's brewed for.
