Presentation: 750mL green, waxed and corked bottle with no dates. Served in a tulip glass.
Appearance: A sliver of a bubbly head shows up after the pour but goes away almost immediately. It leaves behind a lot of lacing in patches all over the glass. It's a beautiful, hazy, deep garnet color.
Smell: It's a beautiful, fruity aroma of fresh blueberries, sweet blueberry jam and lemon peel. Simple but very pleasant. There's some warm breadiness in there too.
Taste: It's a very tart, mouthwatering flavor of blueberries, lemon and a hint of bready pie crust towards the end. Even some dried flower flavors show up too.
Mouthfeel: It's light to medium bodied and quite smooth with medium low carbonation. It never gets cloying either which is nice.
Overall: Simply excellent. There's a lot of tart blueberry and the bready pie element is there in just the right amount. The sourness is very strong but it doesn't get out of hand either. Beautiful all around.
