Pours a ruby-cola colour and smells like what it is--a kettle-soured porter. Cocoa, roasty notes, big malt, but with a distinct fruity, candied tartness (sour cherries? sour berries?). It's something of a surreal experience, tasting eerily similar to its namesake, as though someone dropped a handful of Sour Patch Kids into a fairly straight-ahead porter (and the brewery was playing up the pairing, offering free Sour Patch Kids at their booth). Reminds me, if only fleetingly, of a Rodenbach.
I like it, but a pint is a bit much, and I'm not sure how well it's going to play in the local market.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
