Sore and cold with one pitch left when your legs give out and start shaking. A sign of taking yourself to the edge; like we did with this beer. Local malt and a hefty dose of hops make this IPA a classic and full flavoured adventure. So clear your own little dance floor and let your disco legs take you to the summit.

What a roller coaster ride-- the immediate smell was off-putting; sulphurous and green. It's almost hard to convince me to even sip it.
The color is a lovely deep yellow heading toward orange. Very little remaining head after the initial pour died down.
So when I do taste it it is fusty (or even dank) with hop bitterness but the body is thicker and nice. That aroma still bothers me but the taste begins to come around. Hidden sweetness and alcohol finally come out of hiding.
So I can't say I wouldn't drink it, or turn down another one, but it certainly was not my preferred style of double IPA.

"Crisp, Hoppy, Classic"
Appearance - Pours a clear copper with four fingers of frothy dense white head.
Smell - earthy, piney, leafy, weedy, and hint citrus hops, pine resin, grapefruit peel, hint of citrus peel, bready malts, caramel, and earthy yeast.
Taste - bold earthy, piney, leafy, weedy, and hint of citrus hops upfront. The bold notes from the pine resin and grapefruit peel come through next. The hint of citrus peel, bready malts, caramel, and earthy yeast round out the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes sticky with the hops and pine resin lingering.
Overall - A bold, flavourful and dangerous west coast IPA. This one is a nice change from the copious New England IPAs out there. This one is another winner from this brewery. A nice ode to those hopheads out there.

16 ounce can.
Pours a clear golden to pale orange with finger of white head.
Aroma is at first malty but notes of mango, over ripe orange, tropical - and just a touch of sweaty dank hops.
Taste follows with an initial grainy doughy malt sweetness - over ripe orange, mango, but transitioning to slightly dank green piney hops and just a bit of a diesel note. As warmed sweaty and a bit boozy.
Smooth easy drinking medium full mouthfeel - building piney resinous bitterness sits at back of palate. Very decent.
