I had this beer on-tap in a straight-sided glass at Under the Radar’s brewery in Houston.
Appearance: medium golden hue with a clear body and a thin layer of ivory foam that leaves a nice lace on the glass.
Smell: sweet malt with a light hop aroma that is both fruity and herbal. It’s ok; something about the aromas just don’t sync for me, though.
Taste: like the aroma, the malt is sweet, and the hops are fruity but a little sharp. I’m not sure what that sharp character exactly is, but I am not the world’s biggest fan of it.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and creaminess for the style.
Overall: I want to like this beer, and the texture is admittedly really nice, but it just doesn’t quite work for me.
