Think of sooty dark cars loaded with anthracite, moving through the night, dancing to the music of the rails. A robust porter, dark as night and smooth as jazz. Flavors of roast malt, coffee and cocao, with a mild caramel sweetness for balance.

16oz can. No dating information found.
Amber brown colored body. One finger of light tan head settles back to a partial cap. Small spots of lacing are left behind.
Aroma of dark roasted malts and coffee.
Taste is dark roasted malts, espresso, and dark chocolate. The minimal sweetness is from a caramel flavor. Espresso in the aftertaste.
Slightly thinner than medium mouthfeel. Very good carbonation. Rather dry.
A dry and less sweet porter. Good for dark notes of espresso and chocolate.

nice dark brown color, head was a nice light brown that slowly resolved to a thin coat and nice lacing on glass. is slightly sweet and with a light dark chocolate/hazelnut flavor. the lingering flavor is almost whisky like between the alcohol and the smokiness of the malt.
What surprises me is that they list it as a 40 IBU but does not seem that bitter. Overall it is what I was expecting in a porter and I will definitely buy it again.
