Had on-tap on 8-16-08 at MBC.
Dark brown in color with about an inch of head.
Light malt aroma
Started ok but hits with a sour vinegar taste that carries through the rest of the beer. I never detected any amount of "nut" in this "nut-brown"
I would not, will not have another one. Too many other good beers to drink.

A thin clear reddish brown beer with descent head. Toasty aroma with a hop background. Definite nutty flavor, with some floral hop character, good flavor but very thin mouthfeel. A very drinkable, flavorful brown ale perfect for a warm spring afternoon.

Ruby-red amber, clear with medium-low carbonation and a thin beige head. Caramel, butterscotch, and toffee nose with little to no hop flavor or aroma. Sweet malt body, but with very strong and obtrusive fusel alcohols makes this a very harsh and unpleasant brew. Soft, somewhat cloying mouthfeel. Ends in an astringent bitter, cardboardy finish. Definitely the least enjoyable beer I've had at MBC.
