Nice spicy taste with a wringing of pine spruce til finish semi clear look wet dog odour ? Not a pleasant thing. Date on can as others ask for is needed. Need to try this on tap for a real taste.
Will return when I shampoo my throat and nose. Arf Arf. Cheers

I like the slight citrus hop flavour. One of my favourite IPAs.

355ml can poured into tulip 23/3/17
a murky dark amber, three fingers of dense foam has great retention, still a little foam at the bottom, partial rings deep down the glass, off to a good start
S spruce, soft caramel, melon, citrus, bread, orange creamsicle, faintly floral, a bit of an odd mix of things but it works
T pine and spicy hops come out, still lots of bread and caramel, some would call it "balance"
M medium bodied, soft from the bubbles, starts off slick and ends a little gritty, spicy pine finish
O decent IPA from the newcomer, I'm curious how old this can is because it seems the malts coming out a bit or maybe its a solid malt backbone, canning dates please
Not a bad first impression but maybe a couple tweaks might work some magic, I'm going to keep an eye out for a freshly tapped keg of this one

355ml can, a quiet new release for this nascent Cowtown brewing concern.
This beer pours a mostly clear, medium copper amber colour, with a teeming tower of puffy, loosely foamy, and bubbly ecru head, which leaves some sudsy Mercator Projection lace around the glass as it very slowly sinks away.
It smells of bready and doughy caramel malt, muddled citrus rind, some pineapple, mango, and kiwi tropical fruitiness, and a leafy, weedy, and resinous piney green hop bitterness. The taste is gritty and grainy pale malt, a lesser biscuity caramel sweetness, mixed and matched domestic citrus and exotic tropical fruit notes, and more earthy, piney and gently perfumed floral verdant hoppiness.
The carbonation is quite laid-back in its insouciant frothiness, the body a decent middleweight, and generally smooth, with a wee airy creaminess trying to get off of the ground. It finishes off-dry, the complex maltiness seeing some action in the form of a lingering piney hop astringency.
Overall, this is a pleasant enough rendition of the hoppy Yankee style, with the bitterness kept to lower levels, while the flavour keeps chugging along. No real sense of the extra point and a half of booze, so I could easily see putting back more than a few of these, when the time calls for it, of course.
