355ml can - a month too long and a dollar short for me to encounter this offering, but that's okay. Another brewery that could really use a proof-reader for their labels: 'the hats we wear defines [sic] who we are', and why on Earth are they comparing this pale ale's colour to that of a 'pils'?

This beer pours a hazy, medium golden yellow colour, with four fingers of puffy, rocky, and chunky eggshell white head, which leaves some layered sudsy cirrus cloud pattern lace around the glass as it very lazily recedes.

It smells of bready and grainy cereal malt, some muddled citrus flesh, a tinge of wet minerality, and some edgy leafy, weedy, and floral green hop bitters. The taste is gritty and grainy caramel malt, orange and white grapefruit rind, some flinty stoniness, and more sassy leafy, herbal, and floral verdant hoppiness.

The carbonation is fairly active in its palate-tickling frothiness, the body a decent middleweight, and mostly smooth, just a touch of hop astringency exacting a minor toll here. It finishes off-dry, the fading malt and still peppy floral hops stuck in a lingering tango.

Overall - the label espouses the virtues of the Alberta malt employed herein, and that's all fine and good, but it's the hops that stand out for me. More floral and spicy/herbal than anything else, yet they seem to just work. A tasty, engaging, and interesting brew.
