Nicely straw-yellow and cloudy looking beer with a thin and quickly dissipating head. The smell reveals subtle yeast aromas and announces a reasonable level of spiciness. The use of wheat, balanced with low acidity, is brilliant here as the mouthfeel could hardly be more pleasant at 4.2. ABV and as the delicate effervescence also adds to the smooth mouthfeel. This slightly salty witbier seems to have little to no coriander, but this is not a bad thing here. The taste is characterized by a subtle spiciness joined by a quasi-lemon flavour and mild hoppiness. As it finally runs down your throat, the aftertaste brings back the slight saltiness, adding to la P’tite Wit’s incredible drinkability. A perfect summer beer: complex enough, yet low-ABV and easy-drinking. Brewed at Loup Rouge Microbrasseur (Sorel, Québec).
