Can: Poured a pitch-black color ale with a large dark foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of cocoa and coconut with some hazelnut notes clearly identifiable. Taste is a mix of sweet hazelnut and cocoa notes with some coconut notes and residual sugar notes. Body is about average for style with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol notes. Enjoyable pastry stout but not as creamy as some of the other stouts and second can was starting to show some acidic notes.
